Advanced Laser: Using The Rotary

Learn to use the rotary attachment for the Laser Cutter to engrave things that are (at least roughly) cylindrical! We'll cover how to connect and set up the rotary axis and how to generate files. Each participant will get to engrave a glass or other object and take it home. Cylindrical objects will be provided, but participants may also bring their own (laser safe) objects to try out as well.

LASER CUTTER AUTHORIZATION IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PRIOR TO THIS CLASS. You will not be able to operate the laser cutter without it, and the class would be taught under the assumption you understand the basic operating principles of the laser. There is a laser cutter basics class held right before this one, so feel free to take both at the same time!
