Inkscape is a free, open-source vector design application. We use it at MakeICT for laser cutter, vinyl cutter and foundations for other CNC tools.

In this class we'll introduce frequently used Inkscape tools and application:

- Create shapes, paths and texts
- Select, scale and rotate
- Node manipulation
- Creating vector images from raster sources
- Snap and align
- Fill and stroke colors

Intermediate computer and mouse skills are required. Users should be able to navigate basic file and windows menus, right click, double click, drag and use shortcut keys to cut, copy and paste.

There will be time in the last part of the class for questions, answers, and for participants to bring up challenges with their own projects that we can work through together.

Bring in your own laptop or use ours.
