Introduction to CAD Design for 3D Printing

This hands-on class will cover basic design of 3D models using CAD software, and explore design considerations specific to 3D printing.

Participants will create a 3D model from scratch in Fusion 360 and learn techniques to edit existing STL files. We’ll also discuss material selection and advanced settings in PrusaSlicer to ensure optimal print setup for a design.

No CAD experience is necessary, but some knowledge of 3D printing is preferred. There will be time at the beginning of class to help participants sign up for a free Autodesk Fusion 360 account. Laptops will be provided, but feel free to bring your own.
