Intro to Falconry

Falconry is the millennia-old art of hunting with a trained raptor. This class covers a brief history of falconry before going into details of the modern practice of falconry. Attendees will be introduced to the equipment as well as the requirements to become a falconer. Live raptors will be present. Modern falconers were Makers before Making was cool, so relevance to every area of MakeICT will be mentioned. Numerous additional resources will be referenced for those interested in more information. The discussion of hunting and feeding raptors animal prey will be covered and may be shown in visual format. It is not for the squeamish.
