Cosplay Workshop: Character Makeup 101

Dex is an award winning Wichita cosplayer and cosmetologist. Dex is a passionate creator and loves art, costuming, theater, and video games. Please join us for Dex’s hands on workshop to learn how to bring any of your favorite characters to life through makeup! This workshop is great for beginners who don’t know where to get started, or even pros looking to refine their own techniques!
Some of the topics we will touch on include:
- Building Your Cosplay Makeup Kit
- Makeup Concepts and Techniques
- Blocking Out Eyebrows
- Basic Special Effects
- Cosplay Contacts
The minimum age to attend is 13.
Attendees are not required to bring anything, but it is highly encouraged to bring something to take notes with, and any makeup you want to practice with (there will be some mini demos!).
