Cosplay Workshop: Wigs 101

Do you ever wonder how cosplayers create wigs that seem to defy the laws of physics? Need to know how to style a wig straight out of an anime or videogame? Look no further! This workshop is the perfect place to learn to channel your inner wig stylist to make those spikes, fluffy head soft hair, and more!
The instructor for this workshop is Dex. Dex is an award winning Wichita cosplayer and cosmetologist. Dex is a passionate creator and loves art, costuming, theater, and video games. Please join us for a workshop that is extremely beginner friendly, and is also great for more experienced cosplayers who just want to sharpen up their skills.
The minimum age to attend is 13.

- Building a Wig Kit
- How to Decide on a Base
- Wig Prep
- Crimping, Teasing and When to use Them
- Spikes
- Splicing and Sewing in Wefts
- Airbrushing
Attendees are not required to bring anything, but are highly encouraged to bring something to take notes!
