[Cancelled] Make a Travel Reading Pillow

In this class students will make a pillow using a pattern. You will learn proper cutting techniques, pattern markings, how to mark seam allowance on their machine, top stitching, how to install a centered zipper, how to use tracing wheel and paper, and machine applique with a satin stitch.

Basic understanding of sewing machine operation required.

Supplies 2/3 yard print fabric preferably woven quilt weight 1/3 yard solid fabric letter, pocket, handle preferably woven quilt weight 18" regular zipper Thread regular sewing thread for seams, installing zipper, top stitching pocket, and stitching around letter. There are some supplies available in textiles.
