MakeICT: Drums and Percussion Circle

Luke Swearingen is the percussion accompanist for Modern Dance Classes at WSU and has lived and trained in the country of Ghana, West Africa. He has worked with Arts Partners Wichita giving demonstrations and small drum circles with district 259. He is reaching out to the makers of MakeICT to get the rhythm circulating in the brains and bodies and is starting a rhythmic drum circle in one of the classrooms at makeICT. Join us for an evening of West African rhythms on authentic djemes, djun djuns, congas, bells and shakers supplied by the teacher.
