Stone Cutting and Cabbing from Start to Finish

I am the jewelry lab leader at makeict. I will be teaching the beginner basics of cabochon cutting and grinding on the three new machines available at the maker space. We will start from a rough stone (Either Bring one or we have some at the maker space) and cut it into a slab on one of the saws. Next we will trim the slab into a shape and polish it on the diamond polishing machine. This will give you the chance to customize your jewelry from any rough stone into a finished cabochon before setting.
