Do you have a boring light colored t-shirt that needs something? How about a MakeICT design celebrating women makers?
For this Second Saturday event you'll bring white or light clothing items and we'll screenprint a 12" single color (white) maker-inspired design on them. Shirts, hoodies, dresses, pants, bandanas, bags, use your imagination! Fabrics that are very thin, wrinkly or ribbed don't work as well but we'll try anything.
This is a free/pay-what-you-want event but this $5 reserves your spot just in case, and the funds raised go to WASAC (Wichita Area Sexual Assault Center). You can bring up to three shirts.
This is a come-and-go event so we'll try to recommend a few times so not everyone has to show up at 12 and wait. After we print your items you'll need to take them home and throw them in a dryer on high for 30 minutes so the ink sets and doesn't wash out.
This is not a full-on screenprinting class where you learn the details of making your own screens, but it will be fun to watch and you might learn a little bit. It is totally okay to bring a few friends, kids, or family members to hang out and watch!
