Special edition workshop. Make print blocks to use for holiday greeting cards. We will spend an hour going through the process and nuances in creating a print block design in Inkscape and preparing it for cutting on the Laser Cutter. We will use basic materials (1 by pine) to create a print design that participants will be able to create on the laser outside of class time (this is due to the amount of time needed to cut a block).
Basic computer skills are required and some experience with Inkscape (a 2D vector graphic program) is helpful. Participants are encouraged to come prepared with their digital art for an approximately 5" x 5" print block (sizes can vary), or create one in the class.
