This workshop is an introduction to worbla and the type of things you can do with it! What is worbla? Worbla is a thermoplastic material, meaning that it is a plastic based material that once heat is applied, you can change the shape and once it cools down, it will stay in that shape. Cosplayers use this a lot to make armor and props. We will also go over some helpful techniques on how to properly fold and use worbla!
Worbla will be provided. The cost is calculated into entry fee.
This is a beginner level class. There will be a short introduction presentation over worbla, followed by the workshop. This class will be taught by Alyssa Sams. Registration is required.

We will be making a worbla arm bracer. We will be pattern making, using the "sandwich" method for worbla and craft foam armor, molding and shaping the bracer, and lastly adding details with worbla.

It would be good to bring some belt loop rings and some Velcro. If you have a hot glue gun, heat gun, and scissors, you might bring them too.
