This workshop is designed as a no math approach to electronics. We will teach with some simple simulation applets, and give the general physics of what is happening, and I promise to blow something up (likely not a student).

Members of the class will leave with a touch light the made themselves. (Kit consists of a FET, a breadboard, a battery, battery clip, resistor, and LED).

The goal of this class is to give you some basic knowledge, get your feet wet and... ahem... spark...their intrest.

This class is rated for "I can't do that" through "I don't want to hurt my Arduino."

WARNING-Bad puns proliferate through the class.

Topics that will be covered in this workshop are:

1. Voltage vs current

2. Resistors

3. Capacitors

4. Inductors

5. Diodes and LEDs

6. Transistors

You will need to bring a laptop that can run the applet at:

Workshop is suitable for teens and older
