Basic Inkscape design with overview of vector graphics and intro to graphic design. Participants will learn how to make a design suitable for use on laser cutter, foam cutter, or possibly graphics for printed screens.

If you prefer to bring your own laptop, install Inkscape and bring it along. Laptops will be available to borrow.  Please arrive ten minutes early to get computer started so we are all ready to start at 10.

Inkscape is an open source program that is free to use. You can download it from:

MakeICT member Matthew Lewis Warren will teach this class. His interests include gaming technology and gaming trends, artistic geometry and symmetry, visual mathematics, 2D and 3D graphic arts, technology in all aspects of life, creating­making­modifying things, photography, sculpture, music: listening­playing­creating. His education is in Digital Media A.A.S, Electronics Vocational Degree. His work includes five years community college digital media instructor, 20+ years of IT work: Network admin, digital voice systems field engineer, Networked point of sale systems, Computer technician.
