Wichita Women Who Code presents: Introduction to webcam graphics:
We are all creative! Anyone can experiment, design and create digital art! With Processing, a flexible software sketchbook and language developed specifically for this purpose, you can learn how to:
Create interactive graphics
Capture video from your webcam
Sense and control the physical world with the Arduino
Fabricate with the 3D printer
And more…
The first in a series, this introductory workshop will cover the basics of Processing and then dive into a collaborative team project using the webcams on our computers to produce a final digital artwork. You will start with a basic program and make it your own.
Bring your laptop. If you can, download Processing found at https://processing.org/ in advance and check out the tutorials https://www.processing.org/tutorials/. If you don’t have a laptop, MakeICT can loan you one for the duration of the workshop and bring a memory stick if you want to save files to take home.
No software or webcam experience required! Suggested age group 13-years and up.
