Build, program, and fight your very own autonomous robot sumo champion!

Each team will receive a MakeICT designed robot sumo kit, two workshops, free time in the makerspace to build, and a slot in the tournament. You can register individually or as a team.

• Early registration (before Dec 7): $75
• Regular registration (after Dec 7): $85
• MakeICT members receive a 10% discount!

*** Workshop 1 - Friday December 12th 6-9pm ***
Begin building with instruction from our own resident Robot Sumo expert, Ivan Quiroz.

The makerspace will stay open for a while after the workshop Fri & open again at 9am for those who want to continue working.

*** Workshop 2 - Saturday December 13th 1-4pm ***
Robot programming - learn how to program your bot, making it interact with sensors so it can seek and destroy the competition!

*** Tournament - Sat Dec 13th 5-6pm ***
Competition time! Mimicking a real sumo fight, the goal is for the bot to seek and push the opponent out of the arena. Bots will be 100% autonomous!
